I Feel Unaccomplished?

Posted on 21. Sep, 2012 by in Uncategorized

Hi, im 23 years old and i finished my college for Graphic design last year. I’m starting a course for fitness instructor in a few weeks, wich will be 1 day a week. Right now the only job i have is volunteering 1 day a week, helping people from ‘third world’ countries learn this language.
I’m looking to find some work as Graphic designer because i do like that. But its so hard to find a job in Graphic design right now. I have done some minimum wage jobs wich i absolutly hate (sorry if i sound selfish) It’s factory work and i really cant stand it.
I still live with my parents and i have no friends anymore (most of them moved away for college etc) I’m thinking about starting a college again, but don’t know wich path to choose.
So, i have way too much free time, and it makes me feel bad at the end of the day cus i’m not really doing much. Just kinda waiting for my course to start. Mostly watching Youtube videos, going to gym, and do Graphic Design contests online, wich i enjoy, and i try to make some money with it (and build a better portfolio)
I feel really lost..i have so much free time. What can i do? How can i meet people/make friends..i dont like going out to clubs/bars and dont have anyone to go with anyway.. I’m not looking for sympathy just really need advice. What would you do? help!!

In order to achieve something you’ve never achieved before, you have to start doing things that you haven’t done.
Get out of your comfort zone and break the familiarity. Don’t see life as something you need to go through everyday, see it as an opportunity.
You’re capable of doing great things. Why not get in touch with yourself, know yourself better and think about how you want to change or start from there.
I hope this helps. And please help me with my question also! ;)

PD: do you have an online portfolio or website? What style of design do you do? any animation?
