Comment on How Often Should I Apply Vitamin E To My Stretch Marks? by cookiecr

Stretch marks are often the result of the rapid stretching of the skin associated with rapid growth. Stretch marks may also be influenced by hormonal changes associated with puberty, pregnancy, muscle building.
I have stretch marks but I have them on my hips :( I found that putting a bit of baby oil in your bath helps improve your elasticity of your skin and it also makes them appear lighter and makes them practically not visible. I done this everyday for about a month and they are now not visible. Mine were a purple-y colour to start off with but if yours are more of a red-y colour you could rub baby oil on before you go to bed and when you wake up as well. This is a cheap way as you dont have to use a lot of it and you can get it for about £1.50 for a bottle that should last well over a month. There is no way of completely getting rid of stretch marks as they are similar to scars. I also found that cocoa butter also works but you have to buy the quite expensive ones for it to work which is why I use baby oil as its a lot cheaper and works exactly the same.
Jojoba oil can help lighten marks and scars. If you have a scar anywhere on your body, apply jojoba oil to the area to help it fade.
Jojoba oil is particularly good for skincare. It penetrates into the skin and does not clog pores. It can be used on all skin types. It contains vitamin E and antioxidants which are great for fighting aging signs and moisturizing the skin. In addition it is also antibacterial making it great for treating acne breakouts.
Jojoba oil works in two ways. First its moisturizes your skin first and then diffuses into the skin to soften and smooth. So with regular application acne scars and other skin conditions can be lessened and in many cases healed completely.
I also found that having a slight sun tan camouflages them in more as it makes them turn more of a white-ish colour, If you are really paranoid by them, you could try using fake tan to cover them up but it sometimes makes them more obvious.
You can also get cream from your doctors which is used to cover up scars (such as burns) which they could give you but I think you would probably have to pay as you don't actually need it.
I dont know whether you live in the UK or not but if you do, there is this cream in boots and its £13.99 and its called "Scar removal" and it works really well as stretch marks are quite similar to scars.
I hope I helped and I hope they soon vanish!! xxx

The secret to abs is diet, diet and diet. You can do 8000 crunches and sit-ups a day until you turn blue and puke your guts out and never have a 6 pack. In order for your abs to show, you need to lower your body fat percentage, that's all it is. That means a proper diet of lean proteins, low fat, complex carbs, veggies and fruits, combined with a good cardio regimen.
Despite all the bs out there, the TV ads about ab machines or quick fixes to ripped abs, etc, etc, there is only one way to do it, diet and cardio to reduce body fat.

My dermatologist told me to not use it daily for my injury scars, stretch marks would react the same. Your body becomes immune to it or something.
You kinda grow out of it, I'm pretty skinny and I still have them on my upper thighs, they just look like little white lines and they aren't even noticeable. Just use a good firming moisturizer and vitamin e sparingly.
I've never tried cocoa butter, but I've heard that pregnant women use that!

That depends on so many things like how much fat you have, how your body is build, even your skincollor. Besides what is the definition of "seeing" maybe you'll start noticing it sooner than others because you are more fammiliair with your own body.
I noticed you're only 13 years old. Your body hasn't stop developing yet so it isn't a good idea to work out too hard because it may affect this development. Just eat healthy and regularly exercise and in time your body will change!

Make a juice of raw potato and apply it regularly on dark patches of your skin.
Apply good quality sun screen lotion when you step out in sun.
Always wash your face and hands as soon as you reach home from outside.
Keep in mind that all of these remedies will take at least a week to show positive results.
Hey just visit these skin care articles, hope you find it useful.http://blog.myskin.com/expert/natural-sk…

To be perfectly honest, cramping is a very vague symptom and yes, it could be related to the things you already mentioned - stretching of the uterus, supporting muscles and ligaments, or, it could be gas / constipation. Are you passing gas frequently and having regular bowel movements? If not, increase your fiber an water intake and consider taking a stool softener like colace (docusate). As long as your pain isn't so severe that it's interfering with daily activities, and as long as you aren't bleeding, it's probably normal. But if you are ever worried or just have a bad feeling about something, trust your instinct and call your doctor.

Has she been spayed? Is she in season? It's not unknown for bitches to 'call' just like cats do. If you let her outside when she's done this, does she head to a specific area - she could also be hearing something moving around outside..... wild animal, cats. All I can suggest is you bring her in with you, in her crate, and yes, banging the side of the crate, provided you don't actually frighten her, can do the trick. Perhaps some exercise immediately before you go to bed might make sure she's actually tired when she goes to bed?
Otherwise, ear plugs? And obviously if she is in season, get her spayed in another couple of months.
